Where Do I Get The Strength.

Where do I get the strength

to rise once more and move again

to get the inspiration

to sing to you the praises

that you deserve?

It takes a while to start the engine

because by now

we have worked it over the limits.

Where do I get the strength

to join the rest in the madness

of a jamboree

to rush towards an elephantine finish

towards the precipice?

Because after all that was the way

it was meant to finish

striving to arrive at the glorious end

of a high diver.

Where is the strength that I should have

to evoke the look of one of them

and make me the chosen one in your eyes?

But then I know I never was

one in a series.
