We Never Quarrelled.
We never quarelled
You simply drifted away into
the void
Of a humid summer morning
And I became afraid
To call back the phantoms of
emptiness
To recreate a new sketch.
We never quarrelled
And because we never did
We were again able to pick
up
The sands in the broken hour
glass
And reconstruct time.
