Nothing has changed really

It’s only that the future

Has become uncertain

It always was.

Nothing has changed

You cannot come to see me

And I cannot hold you any more

It is only that Christmans

Is not so far away

And we do not know what to do

It will not be the same

It never really was

Nothing has changed

Or so they would want us to believe.

I dare not send you any message

For I would be inundated

With words.

No nothing has changed

We will only see the sun

Going down into the sea

From our rooftops

Because there is nothing else

To see.
